About Me

I grew up in the beautiful Endless Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania, in a small town where everyone knew everyone else. I followed my father and older brother into the U.S. Navy, as did my younger brother. My service was done willingly and I worked hard to be a good sailor. I enjoyed the travel, most of the people, and I certainly learned a lot.

I am happily married, I love history, I'm a big fan of audiobooks, a cat lover, and a baseball fan (go, Texas Rangers!).

I work for Pennsylvania State University as an editor for the web review team of the College of Agricultural Sciences. I have also been a web site designer and manager, a manuscript editor, and a book creator.

My online moniker is mcfitz, a portmanteau word of my married name, McClintock, and my maiden name, Fitzgerald.
